I love pirate Tanis! I always forget how great this thread is until I draw something. Then I am like "oh yeah, I haven't been to the art thread for a while!"
I watched DOAT again last night and I decided to draw Gemsamay's family crest, which has been in my head for a while. (For all you Inn Of The Last Home patrons, this is the symbol Gems recognizes on the back of Sakotim's coat when she takes it off.) I typed out an explaination of the symbols in it, then tried to post and it timed out and I lost it. I don't feel like re-typing it! It's just a super simple sketch.. idk if I will paint it...

I saw that on your 'Inn' post and I've been trying to picture it. Glad you decided to draw it Gems, that's pretty cool. It Makes for a nice Tat.

Haha that's awesome James! That's what I was going for! I was actually trying to make it more beautiful than scarey, it is supposed to be Huma's dragon that he fell in love with. I thought maybe Gemsamay's ancestor was sort of her best friend/confedant when she was in elven form.
I agree Fizban, it would be a sweet tat. But I have to be selective about my tattoos since my husband-to-be isn't real big on tatoo'd women. I already have 3 tats planned so I doubt there will be any more... I do make beaded purses a lot thought so this might be my next purse design if I make a new one for myself.

Do you plan on coloring in your Dragon art piece Gems?
To those of you that have not seen this yet, this is a great art piece that Gems drew for me for one of my characters, "DARIUS" I'm playing in "THE INN OF THE LAST HOME" thread......

Wow, may I just say, I meant to go to bed an hour and a half ago (it's nearly midnight here now), but I started looking at all the great art here and couldn't stop until I was through the whole thread!
MSTO, your art style especially appeals to me! Put it this way - if you published an art book, I would buy it! And come to your book signing. I dabble with drawing (nothing I'm comfortable showing, yet, anyway), and your stuff is really inspiring to me! Keep 'em coming!
And mpavlos...words...well, I haven't got any. Not that do your work justice, anyway. How long does something like that take, may I ask? They're just so amazing!

For those of you who are in the facebook Inn Of The Last Home I used Tas Kender Hero's facebook pic to kind of make it look like her.. I am not good at portraits, so this is sort of my portrait-practice-project. I'll let you decide if it actually does look like her because I am overly critical..
I am jones'n for some MSTO art.. Get on it woman! Tee hee I agree with sprite.. I would totally buy your book. Do you take classes of any kind?

Thanks, sprite and Gems  Yes, I am taking classes...fine arts major actually. Ironically it's the classes that prevent me from making more art, lol.
Here are some random character sketches I did a little while ago.
Current project: guess who's coming baaaaaaaaaack...
I'm trying to illustrate a scene from one of the books. See if you can guess which one it is!
