I've been a fan of dragonlance since I first got DOAT in late 80s
I'm due to repurchase the novels again as mine are about dead( read lots :))

Hello, I just found this site...EXCELLENT!
I am Darth Black... I know that name has nothing to do with Dragonlance... But I'm a bit Star Wars fan too...
I have loved Dragonlance since the day i first read it... (many many moons ago!)
Admittedly i have not read every single Dragonlance book,but the first ones, the War of the Lance trilogy followed by the War of the Twins trilogy made me fall in love with it...
How much do i like Dragonlance...well...
My 16 year old Son...heh.. His name is... Tannis...
My 14 Year old Daughter... her name is... Laurana...
My 10 tear old daughter... her name is... Kitiara...
Of course when my children were born my (ex)wife had a fir over the names...but i held strong...
I am a long time D&D player (of course) and one of my favorite (though now retired) characters was a paladin named Talon "Brightblade"
I got to meet Elmore on time at a gamming convention, and though i never found out if he actually made it, we discussed a painting with Tanis, Laurana, and Kitiara in it for my kids...
Anyhow...A buddy told me that he had found an anime on DL recently... and I thought KEWL! got to know more!!! so i did a search...and boom...Here i am!
And to my delight I find out the Anime is actually an anime movie of DOAT! Excellent!
I have not got to watch it as of yet... but am looking forward to it (i'm getting it his next weekend) I hope it will not disappointment...
Well i would like to through 1 more thing in here...if everyone can remember... LotR was first made into an anime movie...then years later they made the live action LotR... I personally would hate to wait the long for a DL live action...BUT a DL live action (if done right) would e 100 fold better than LotR ever thought about being... |

Welcome to DLMS DarthBlack!!! Most glad you can join us!!! I too am a Star Wars Fan! as well as Star Trek.
A good choice in naming your young'ins after DL characters...     My ex had a problem with Fizban!!! LOL!!!
The single most dangerous thing in all of Krynn is to hear a Kender say "oops".

Welcome to you both! And rock on with the DL babies!!! Unfortunately for my fiance' he has said to me: (and I quote) "if we name our daughter after my mom (Paige) you can name our son anything you want." So I am keeping an eye out for a good DL name to make him eat his words!! haha You picked some very beautiful names from the books.
Come on over to the inn for a pint. Although I am about to take a trip at the moment.. Tivo will take good care of you while I am gone!

| greetings all... friends all call me Yom ... i own presently 71 dragonlance novels and still collecting...haven't read em all yet...waiting ever patiently for 'dragons of the hourglass mage' to be published but still only on chapter 7 of 'highlord skies'... i loved the 1st movie n can only pray that more are made and on a regular basis... |
